Logo design is one of the most difficult challenges a designer can be presented. An amalgamation of shape and color is supposed to represent a brand's essence - what it does, who it is for, what kind of attitude the company may have.
That's a lot of pressure for the poor shapes and colors. I just try to help them find each other and play together nicely. I'm like a Kindergarten teacher for the elements of design, if you will. Here are some of my best pupils.
